Four 18-hole courses are less than a 30-minute drive from the hotel. An overview of Mainsondheim, Kitzingen, Steigerwald and Würzburg.
Golfing between vineyards and the Main
Franconia is wine country. But look a little closer and you'll also find first-rate golf courses. Four 18-hole courses are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. For golfers who appreciate a good glass of wine after their round, there are few regions better suited.
Golfclub Schloss Mainsondheim: 7 km
The nearest course is also one of the most beautiful. The facility lies in the heart of Main Franconia, embraced by the Main River. The fairways follow the river's course across 70 hectares of terrain.
What to expect: multi-tiered greens of up to 650 square meters, bunkers up to 2.5 meters deep, and on the 16th an island green over a 40-meter-wide pond. Precision is required here.
Golfclub Kitzingen: 15 km
Golfclub Kitzingen offers a well-maintained 18-hole course set in rolling countryside. The course is technically challenging but fair. The tee boxes with panoramic views over the Main valley are particularly memorable.
Golfclub Steigerwald: 20 km
Located directly on the A3 near Geiselwind, Golfclub Steigerwald was designed by star architect Don Harradine. Seventy hectares of natural terrain in the Steigerwald Nature Park offer variety.
Golf Club Würzburg: 29 km
Golf Club Würzburg is one of the Leading Golf Clubs of Germany. A five-star facility with high standards. From more than half of the holes you can enjoy views over Würzburg and the Marienberg Fortress.
Tip: Combine golf and wine
Eighteen holes in the morning, relax in the afternoon at the Infinity-Pool, wine tasting in the cellar in the evening. This is what a perfect day for golfers on the Main Loop looks like.
